NGN Fishing ("No Guide Needed") is a fishing intelligence application operated by Oak Angel Tech LLC, based in Johns Island, South Carolina. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the NGN Fishing mobile app and website (ngnfishing.com).
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optional profile details (boat length, home fishing area).
Location Data: With your permission, we collect GPS coordinates to provide localized fishing conditions, tide data, spot recommendations, and navigation features. Location data is used in real-time and is not stored on our servers beyond the current session unless you explicitly save a trip log or pin.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics about app usage (screens visited, features used, report generation frequency) to improve the product. This data is not tied to your identity.
Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Location access is optional but required for core features (map, navigation, drop pin, cast guide). You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. When location is disabled, the app defaults to your saved home fishing area or Johns Island, SC.
Community pin drops (shared sighting reports) include your GPS coordinates at the time of posting, visible to other Pro Angler subscribers in your area. Pins are anonymous by default — your name is not attached unless you opt in.
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Trip logs and saved reports are stored until you delete them. You may request full account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@ngnfishing.com. Upon deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure authentication (Supabase Auth with bcrypt), and Stripe PCI-compliant payment processing. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
NGN Fishing is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@ngnfishing.com and we will delete it promptly.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@ngnfishing.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of NGN Fishing after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
